America had been using cuba as a party lodge and disrespecting cubans, treating them badly. America was also ripping Cuba off, they were charging unreasonable amounts for their goods.
thats what i think was a few reasons. not sure if main, but i think it was mainly because Castro wanted Cuba to be independent
